What's Changed at The-Acey?

Four years ago I launched The-Acey with the goal of offering women a more sustainable way of shopping, without compromising on style. And what started as a multi-brand online store for contemporary, conscious brands has evolved.

Thanks to our very loyal audience of Acey women (aka, confident women who care), we identified a need to further simplify our product offering in order to better serve their needs, and importantly our environment. 

I'm so so excited to be introducing a new direction for The-Acey, from here on out we are a direct-to-consumer brand. Offering elevated, everyday pieces, designed to be lived in - not stored away for best. Exclusively available at The-Acey.com.

How we do this is something I'm very proud of and genuinely believe is the future, we are operating an on-demand order system. Meaning we only produce what women want, when they want it, resulting in a virtually zero waste supply chain, no surplus stock or sale items. 

 

On-demand orders - good things come to those who wait

Made for you, as and when you need it in our East London factory, 30 minutes from our studio. Inspired by the issue of overproduction in the clothing industry we made it our task to address waste, one garment at a time. We believe by encouraging mindful consumption through products that are worth the wait, you will feel good, confident and clever in your clothing.

Small collections - no overwhelming scrolling through hundreds of styles

Simplification was a key driver in our transition into a direct-to-consumer brand, we really looked at the pain points of shopping. It can feel overwhelming and easy to find yourself buying into a seasonal trend that you regret later. Our solution is to release small monthly collections of useful clothing inspired by styles that have stood the test of time, tailored to the needs of modern women's everyday lives. 

Pay in instalments - making good clothing more accessible

We want 'good' (in every sense of the word) clothing to be as accessible as possible, so we've partnered with payment provider Klarna to offer payments split over 60 days. Pay later in 3 interest-free instalments, 1st payment on order, 2nd 30 days later, 3rd 60 days later. Simply select slice it at checkout. 

More inclusive sizes

Catering for a wider audience is important to us and something we struggled with as a traditional multi-brand store, so know we're making all our own clothing we've been able to increase our size offering both up and down, catering to a size UK6 - 16. There's still more we can do but this is a step in the right direction.

Same people - small but mighty

Day to day there's two of us but we have helping hands from lots of talented experts on an ongoing basis. And of course one of our biggest partners, our manufacturer who is based up the road from us here in London, without their skills and co-operation they'd be no Acey. We're a small, independent business so please do share our site with your pals, colleagues and family.
